How to Make Delicious Air Fried Rice with Vegetables

This recipe is a perfect way to use up leftover rice and turn it into a satisfying and quick meal.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of cooked rice (about 200g or 7 oz)
- Oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 500g (1 pound) of mixed vegetables (such as carrots, peas, and green beans)
- Seasoning of your choice
- 1 egg
- A baking tray
You can make this recipe in any type of air fryer. For this demonstration, I'll be using the Philips Air Fryer XXL with a large baking tray.
Instructions:
Prepare the Rice: If you don't have any leftover rice, cook your rice according to the instructions on the packaging or use a rice cooker.
Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer with the baking tray inside at 200°C (390°F). Add some oil to the baking tray.
Cook the Onions and Garlic: Air fry the diced onion for 5 minutes. After 3 minutes, add the minced garlic and stir well. This step will infuse your fried rice with a lot of flavor.
Add the Vegetables: Add your mixed vegetables to the air fryer and cook for another 5 minutes. Ensure your vegetables are cut into small pieces to cook evenly.
Prepare the Seasoning: While the vegetables are cooking, prepare your seasoning. You can add soy sauce, sesame oil, and other spices to your taste.
Combine Ingredients: Once the vegetables are done, pour the seasoning over them and toss well to coat. Add the cooked rice and mix it thoroughly with the vegetable mixture.
Final Cooking: Air fry everything for 10 minutes at 200°C (390°F). Halfway through, crack an egg over the rice and stir well. The egg will add richness to your fried rice.
