Quick and Easy Air Fryer Recipes: Transform Your Kitchen with 15-Minute Meals


I started off a few years ago as a bit of an air fryer skeptic, but I’ve since turned into an air fryer evangelist. You might wonder why I prefer this appliance in a kitchen full of cooking options. Of course, there are multiple ways to get a solid, fluffy white rice product, each taking different amounts of time. My favorite method is using a rice cooker: measure out one cup of rice, wash off the excess starch, add a little more than one cup of water, set it, and forget it. It takes around 25 minutes for one cup of rice.

If you don’t have a rice cooker, you can use a saucepan. Wash one cup of rice, dump it into a saucepan with a little over a cup of water, bring it to a gentle boil, cover, reduce the heat to very low, and cook for about 15 minutes. This process takes around 20 minutes, just shy of our 15-minute goal.

For a truly quick method, a pressure cooker is your best bet. Start the same way, add the rice to the pressure cooker with a little over a cup of water, set it for 3-4 minutes, release the steam, and you’ve got great, fluffy rice. Mastering fluffy white rice is essential for these 15-minute meals, and it will be used in our first dish.

Recipe 1: Customizable Air Fryer Tofu and Brussels Sprouts

This air fryer dish is extremely customizable. You can use any meat or veggies you have, but it’s really about the sauce and technique. I’m using tofu and Brussels sprouts, as that’s what I had in my fridge.

  1. Preheat your air fryer to max for 5 minutes.
  2. Use firm or extra-firm tofu, drain excess water, slice into thick pieces, and pat dry with a paper towel.

  3. Thicken with a tablespoon of cornstarch.

  1. Preheat the air fryer.
  2. Use chuck steak, cut into large cubes.
  3. Mix steak cubes with chunky mushrooms, salt, pepper, and oil.
  4. Air fry at 400°F for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Make a quick hummus with chickpeas, tahini, lemon, and garlic for the spread.
  6. Toast sourdough bread in the air fryer with steak juices.
  7. Assemble the sandwich with steak, mushrooms, hummus, and microgreens.

Recipe 3: Air Fryer Fish Tacos

This next recipe features fish tacos:

  1. Preheat the air fryer.
  2. Season halibut with salt and a Mexican spice mix.
  3. Air fry the fish with peppers and onions at 400°F for 8 minutes.
