  • Garlic Puree: Makes preparation easier.

  • Soy Sauce: Provides a salty, savory flavor.
  • Chinese Five Spice: Key for that authentic Chinese taste.
  • Brown Sugar: Adds sweetness to balance the flavors.
  • Olive Oil: Prevents the marinade from getting too thick.

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pork Belly:

    • Set the pork belly aside and focus on the seasonings.
    • Use silicone utensils to avoid damaging your slow cooker.
  2. Create the Marinade:

    • Add Chinese five spice, garlic puree, chopped ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce, and olive oil into the slow cooker.
    • Mix thoroughly to ensure all flavors are well combined.
  3. Mix in the Pork Belly:

    • Add the pork belly slices to the marinade.
